Psychiatric Interventions can be a very complex and wearing process for families whose loved ones live with a diagnosis such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective, mood disorders and anxiety disorders. It is our experience that families have been through the arduous process of going at it on their own, with temporary success or no success at all. No matter how hard you have tried, your loved ones just will not stay on the medications that make them well and they are off and unable to perform basic tasks such as showering, eating, and more often than not, putting themselves into dangerous situations that can be so harmful and stress provoking to you who love and care for them.
Our team understand the complexities, timing and resources needed to comfort you and get your loved one into care that can be long term and successful! We are skilled at what a family in this situation needs to make the changes necessary to move you all into a quality of life that really works! There are many steps, and we will walk through each and every one of them.
We dedicate family meetings to:
- Establish history and current behaviors of your loved one, as well as listen to how you have attempted in the past, and what systems you have tried. This creates a narrative that helps in the next steps of the Intervention process, guiding us in proper placement and the professionals we will need to bring onto our team. We will then have a clear plan of action, a blueprint to move forward on how we will approach your loved ones current situation.
- When we have moved your loved one into the treatment professional’s care, we will then shift our focus to the family’s needs, bringing in education, therapists, attorneys etc. Because all families are unique and there are many paths. We will always take the most professional way to facilitate each and every need.
- We will provide one hour of free consultation to begin understanding your situation.
